Lenten Consecration 2024

Prayer Focuses and Dietary Suggestions

February 14 – March 30, 2024

(Sundays are excluded)

Beloved Church Family,

As we enter this season of consecration, may the Lord’s blessings surround you, strengthening your spirit, and fulfilling the desires of His Kingdom in your life.

For those who are fasting food and liquid consumption, we recommend two dietary options. Please choose one:

Option 1: Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in making personal sacrifices during these 40 days. This may involve giving up items such as coffee, soda, non-organic juice, candy, sugar, white flour, breads, or limiting meat intake. You may also choose to eat during specific hours as directed by the Spirit.

Option 2: Follow the dietary suggestions provided below. Whichever option you choose, please always remember to drink at least 64 ounces of water EVERY DAY. If you have medications prescribed by your physician, please continue taking them as directed.

If you have medications prescribed by your physician, please continue taking them as directed.

Let’s take this time to intentionally strengthen our fellowship with God, by drawing closer to Him so that He may come closer to us. Please cut back or restrict yourself from excesses during this time on unnecessary things like unfruitful conversations, snacks, alcohol, excessive social media use, and entertainment that doesn’t uplift your spirit. Instead, focus on personal time with the Lord – read scriptures, spend time in prayer, meditate, and find moments of quiet reflection. Our weekly prayer guide provides specific points to help guide your extra time spent seeking the presence of the Lord.
